Adams Academy was born from both passion and purpose.
After spending over a decade teaching in Title I schools, I witnessed the brilliance, resilience, and untapped potential of students who too often went unseen in traditional settings. I saw students with incredible gifts struggling in classrooms that weren’t designed to support their unique needs — not because they couldn’t learn, but because the system wasn’t built for them.
I started Adams Academy to change that.
I wanted to create a space where every child feels safe, valued, and capable — where learning is personalized, relationships are prioritized, and joy is infused into every lesson. A place where students don’t have to fit into a box, but instead are given the tools to build their own path forward.
Adams Academy is my answer to a deep calling: to provide equitable, high-quality education in a way that honors the whole child — academically, emotionally, socially, and creatively. It’s a space where children are empowered to grow at their own pace, celebrate their differences, and discover their strengths.
This school is more than a program. It’s a promise — that with the right environment, every child can thrive.
What Makes Adams Academy Different?
At Adams Academy, we believe that education should be personal, powerful, and purposeful. We’ve designed our microschool experience with intention, care, and a deep understanding of what children need to thrive.
Here’s what makes Adams Academy stand out:
🔹 Individualized Learning Plans
Every child receives a custom education plan tailored to their strengths, needs, and learning style. We don’t do one-size-fits-all — we meet students where they are and help them grow with confidence.
🔹 Small Class Sizes
With low student-to-teacher ratios, we offer more personalized instruction, meaningful relationships, and fewer distractions — creating a space where students feel safe to take risks and succeed.
🔹 Certified, Passionate Leadership
Our founder, Alicia R. Adams, M.Ed., is a certified educator with over a decade of experience in Title I schools. Her vision and leadership ensure every aspect of the program reflects high standards and heart.
🔹 Equity at the Center
We are deeply committed to providing equitable opportunities for children from underserved communities, ensuring every student has the support and resources to reach their full potential.
🔹 Holistic Curriculum
Our custom-designed curriculum is aligned with local and state standards — but goes beyond academics. We integrate social-emotional learning, physical development, the arts, and hands-on experiences into every week.
🔹 Engaging, Joy-Filled Learning
At Adams Academy, learning is never boring. We make sure students are not only mastering core content like reading and math, but also engaging with science, social studies, music, theater, and creative projects that spark curiosity.
🔹 Family Partnerships
We view parents and guardians as partners. Through open communication, regular updates, and collaboration, we work together to support each child’s growth in and out of the classroom.
When your child learns with us, they don’t just attend school — they belong.
That’s the Adams Advantage.
